Joint placement and sealant not only protects the existing substrate but also minimizes cracking of the newly laid coating. We will always reflect all existing types of joints within every surface and also recommend installing new joints if required. We use a range of products that are suited for various applications with most available in a range of colours.

Waterproofing can work in opposing ways. Commonly, it is used to protect the existing substrate from moisture such as wet areas, but when it comes to epoxy and resin based products waterproofing may be required to protect the newly laid coating. All Epoxy and resin based products cannot be directly applied to a surface that has a moisture content higher than the product will allow, therefore a waterproof membrane may be required first before the epoxy coating is applied.

Correct surface preparation is required for all epoxy and resin floors to ensure correct mechanical adhesion and eliminate the risk of delamination and other flooring issues. Depending on the current floor condition, product to be applied, and its use, will determine the correct grinding and surface preparation methods.

Epoxy mortar is now more commonly used for coving installation due to its strength and water tight properties. Epoxy mortar can have twice the strength as standard concrete and can be applied at any thickness. We install all of our coving with an arrowhead aluminium trim which enhances the look and adds more strength.
